Position angle histograms show, on the whole, a flat distribution as expected, but there is often a small peak at 80 degrees and the distribution for stars is more irregular than that for noise (see Fig. (b)). There is more variability than for the ellipticity histograms, with some fields having a slightly sloped ditribution (Fig. (c)) and a consistent discrepancy between CCD 2 and the other CCDs (an example of which is shown in Fig. (c) & (d)). This is probably due to the fact that CCD 2 is rotated by 90 degrees relative to the other CCDs but this may not have been accounted for in calculating the position angles.
