In brief

To go through the XID work from A to Z the following actions need to be performed:

• Run mk_fielddir to create the three field directories.
• Place the input data files in the relevant subdirectories.
• Create the subdirectory corresponding to the XMM source list in the xidops field directory.
• Add or modify a line in fields_status.txt with the relevant information.
• Run generate_from_files.
