Name:

vircam_imdither

Purpose:

Dither a series of exposures into a single frame

Description:

A load of images are dithered into a single frame.

Language:

C

Parameters:

• ext (int): The image extension of the input files to be done on this run. If all of the extensions are to be processed, then this should be set to zero.

Input File Types:

The following list gives the file types that can appear in the SOF file. The word in bold is the DO category value.

• SCIENCE_IMAGE (required): A list of images for combining
• MASTER_CONF (required): A list of confidence maps, one for each input image.

Output File Types:

The following lists the output data frames that are generated by this recipe. The word in bold gives the PRO CATG keyword value for each.

• JITTERED_IMAGE_TEST: A jittered image

Notes

The extension propertylists need to have: ESO DRS XOFFDITHER (the dither offset in X), ESO DRS YOFFDITHER (the dither offset in Y). This routine will not calculate them.

Fatal Error Conditions:

• No input images
