Name:

vircam_defringe

Purpose:

Test recipe to drive the vircam_defringe library function.

Description:

Test the library function vircam_defringe by defringing a frame that has already been dark and flat corrected.

Language:

Parameters:

• nbsize (float): The size of a smoothing box used for modelling out large scale background variations
• ext (int): The image extension of the input files to be done on this run. If all of the extensions are to be processed, then this should be set to zero.

Input File Types:

The following list gives the file types that can appear in the SOF file. The word in bold is the DO category value.

• SCIENCE_IMAGE (required): A single raw image.
• MASTER_FRINGE (required): A master fringe frame.
• MASTER_BPM or MASTER_CONF (optional): If either is given, then it will be used to mask out bad pixels during and statistical analysis that is done.

Output File Types:

The following lists the output data frames that are generated by this recipe. The word in bold gives the PRO CATG keyword value for each.

• SIMPLE_IMAGE_TEST: A fringe corrected image.

Fatal Error Conditions:

• Missing input image or fringe frame.

Non-Fatal Error Conditions:

None.
