I am currently a post-doctoral research associate at the Institute of Astronomy in Cambridge (UK). In October 2020 I will move to ESO Santiago as a fellow with duties at Paranal/VLT. My research focuses on violent disruptions of stars when they encounter a supermassive black hole in the centre of their galaxy. I am also part of the Gaia science alerts team, responsible for detecting and disseminating new transient events observed by the ESA Gaia telescope. More generally I am interested in surveys, both design/data management and their exploitation using a machine-learning approach.
