The cosmology part. Several edits. Most important: I've deleted the ISW part. I think it is ridiculous to give such preminence to the ISW, when the other techniques are more powerful. So in my opinion, either expand on the other techniques or cut down the ISW part. I've done the second including just one sentence on ISW. Appendix B. A couple of small edits to re-inforce the commitment of DES to do Y if VISTA does near IR. A couple of typos. All my edits are in between %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% FJC edit %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% FJC so you should find them easily. OTHER things that I have not touched. 2.1.1 almost at the end. "The 20000 deg2 VHS....seven years....." Need to change Sometimes you say that VHS goes 40, others 50, deeper the 2MASS. Homogenize The filters to be used are not mentioned consistently. I guess this is due to just borrowing text from the previous proposal without checking everything. In the pdf file, the figure reference number do not show up properly. it may be because it hasn't been latexed twice. Check \ref 2.2.6 Typo XMM-Nwwton 2.2.6 last paragraph "....as Miras clean through the Galaxy" ??? SECTION 2.3 and Appendix B need to be consistent 3.1 the first item of comparison with UKIDSS LAS is now outdated. Check the others 7.1. Include VVDS as well. Be consistent through out whether the first pass over the VHS-SGC (DES area) is 100s or 120s Cheers, FJ ps.
