Best would be for you to try something and see. My guess is that one could aspire to 5% photometry (S/N=25) at H=18. But that may be well wrong. it should be less crowded at J. The relevant fields are: (J2000 coords) (l,b)=(0,1) 17 41 44.3 -28 24 40 (0,.5) 17 43 24.5 -28 40 27 (0,0) 17 44 57.5 -28 50 51 (0,-1) 17 49 32.0 -29 27 10 (.3,-2) 17 55 25.0 -29 46 22 (0.5,0.2) 17 46 12.0 -28 24 13 (30,0) 18 46 53.0 -01 33 53. (-45,0) 14 32 06.0 -60 30 48 Good luck with the run Gerry ******************************************************** Gerry Gilmore Institute of Astronomy direct phone +44 (0)1223 337506 Cambridge University secretary (Anne Reynolds) Madingley Road +44 (0)1223 337516 Cambridge CB3 0HA reception +44 (0)1223 337548 England fax +44 (0)1223 337523 e-mail gil@ast.cam.ac.uk *******************************************************
