An Author Visits
The Library recently received a visit from author Hyman Frankel. Hyman did wartime work at the Cavendish Laboratories in 1940 and knew SPO astronomer W.H. Manning.
Hyman signed the Library copy of his book, ‘Out of this world : An examination of modern physics and cosmology’ published: Cardiff Academic Press, 2003. The book, which is a philosophical study of modern physics, can be found at 11/FRA in the Library.

The ‘Links’ section of the new IoA website has recently been updated. There are now direct links to the electronic versions of journals and newsletters taken by the Library. There are also links to important organizations in astronomy and other useful information sources. The links can also be word-searched.
If you have any suggestions for new links, please contact the Library.
